I have very few graded books of any significant value in this arena, but here are just a few very much underrated books that were not as widely distributed as their DC and Marvel contemporaries but were very respectable in both story and artwork. Very early artwork by Joe Staton and John Byrne is featured in several of these.
A few ex-Marvel folks started this publisher with the purpose of attempting to compete with their former employer. Obviously ill-fated, none of the numerous titles (including 3 magazine titles) lasted for more than 4 issues. However, many of them display respectable art as well as writing.... but they just couldn't sustain themselves long enough to make a go of it. They have developed a bit of what might be described as a cult following, however, and Mego is even going to be producing a line of 1970's style action figures from the Atlas/Seaboard stable.
One of my favorite publishers as a child. Great stories, artwork by Ditko, Byrne, Staton, Kim, Boyette, and many others.
Great publisher to say the least, but most of them are pricier than I'd like. I do have just a few, though.
